All about his chicks...

Last year Cindy gave the boys some hen and chicks in a little pot...we let it sit out through the winter....the pot cracked and shattered from the cold. Gavin's been on my case about finding a new one...we've had these hen and chicks in our landscaping FOREVER. We found one in Effingham the other day...it was the only size they had...Gavin's glad! We thought we might not have enough to fill all those slots, but we sure did and I've never seen a boy quite so excited about it.

Weight-loss update...I didn't even bother last week. I figured everyone's really tired of hearing...up...same...down a little...REALLY! I did really good that last week and I was ONLY down .8lbs so I got ticked and didn't do that good this week. I stayed the same...Mom is down though...1.2 lbs. Getting closer!

Today Gavin had Kira, his classmate, over to play. We planned on going to the free summer movie and then swimming in the afternoon. Maddox wanted to have a girl to come play too, so our neighbor Kayleigh and her Mom joined us for the movie.

Just another Friday night...

Last Friday night we stayed home and had some quality FAMILY time...had nothing else going on...here's how it ended up...not sure how or why...it just did!

Never a dull moment! A little music at our house and you never know what's going to happen next.

In case you're wondering how I managed to post these...because I usually do ask Larry if he cares...he's playing X-Box with his buddies online at the moment! He'll definitely be re-thinking it after he sees them on here!

Roughing it!

Saturday night I mentioned that it'd be a perfect night to set up the tent that Larry got from Verizon as a 5 year gift. It's been in our garage for 5 more without even being opened. Larry didn't want to due to the fact that he had to work on Sunday. So, we talked him into it last night. We were gone most of the day and didn't get home until just before dark. As he set up the tent I ran to the store to get all the ingredients for our Smores...Rhett, my nephew, stayed with us and we had the best time with it. We have no fire pit...we used flames from the grill to roast hot dogs and marshmallows. We may have been a little loud...sorry to our neighbors, but it was so hard to be quiet. There were "ghost" stories to be told...Larry tells some good ones let me tell ya. The boys went to sleep amazingly fast...that was the part I was worried about. They were good and worn out though. We did not have an air mattress. We thought about going to get one...then decided we don't do this often enough to get much use out of it. MISTAKE! This was the only "rough" part...I could not get to sleep...Larry was snoring. It only bothered me though...and Rhett for a short while. Luckily Larry was down by my feet so I just gave him a LITTLE nudge with my foot every time he started in. I woke up a lot throughout the night...tossing, turning, trying to get comfy...Rhett woke up to go to the bathroom. Something about him getting up and going into the house made me want to follow him right into the house and find my soft bed. I asked Larry if he wanted to go inside...he quickly agreed. We made it until 5:40am. We brought the boys in too, even though Maddox was not happy about it...half asleep, yet knowing he wasn't sleeping in the tent anymore. We slept GOOD until 8:30am. Would've been longer had we not had things going on this morning. It was definitley worth it...the tent is put away and Larry's ready to do it again once we get an air mattress!

Maddox's Hershey bar...we gave him the package thinking he was making a smore...no, ate the whole thing in less than a minute!

Same ole...same ole...

Okay...nothing major to report from this week's weigh-in. I stayed the same...and Mom lost .2 lbs. We were just talking about how quickly this is coming off and how we might just blow away if we keep it up! Geesh!

Hello...it's just me...little Miss Mallory...I have a little secret I'd like to let everyone in on! This is no little secret...but I've been trying so hard to keep it...that I can't do it ANY more...

I'M GOING TO BE A BIG SISTER...THAT'S RIGHT! I WAS A LITTLE SURPRISED TOO. I KNOW IT'S GOING TO BE A TOUGH JOB...BUT I THINK I CAN HANDLE IT...DON'T YOU THINK SO?

Belated Birthdays: I owe my OLDEST brother John a Happy Birthday Wish on July 5th....and my OLDEST nephew, Justin, a Birthday Wish from yesterday, July 7th! Love you guys!

This Tuesday...

I'm down...1.2lbs. I'm a little surprised. I'm having a hard time getting back into the swing of things. I'm not going to complain about my loss though. It may catch up with me later if I don't get my act together. I'm going to make a short term goal of losing 3 lbs by July 21st, 2 weeks from today.

Strange...I got a phone call this afternoon reminding me that I hadn't updated my blog yet. I did update the ticker on the side of the screen, but I guess that wasn't enough. MOM LOST 1.8LBS THIS WEEK! WAY TO GO MOM! Mom, set yourself a new goal and let's stick with it this time....how's that sound?
