The Mirgin Mary

...had a baby boy...The Mirgin Mary had a baby boy...The Mirgin Mary had a baby boy and they said that his name was JESUS! He comes from the glory...he comes from the glory...a** Kingdom! Maddox sang and sang this song at home before his school program. He loved it...so did we!
Maddox in his "locker" at school. I think he climbs inside of it every day to hang his coat up.

Hope all of you had a Merry Christmas...we did! I'll try to get back into blogging mode again.

Gavin's Class

On Friday I subbed at St. Joe in the Pre-K class til Noon. I stopped in to see how Gavin's class party was going on my way out. They were busy playing with their new gift exchange toys. I got a picture of them. Gavin's the only one wearing white because they had their Christmas program in the morning and all had red shirts and black pants on for that. Gavin didn't want to leave his dress clothes on all day, so he took clothes to change into. I thought this was cute...The label on Gavin's Christmas gift to Mrs. Burgener. He did it ALL by himself.

Breakfast with Santa

Last weekend we had Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus at St. Joe. It was yummy and the boys enjoyed it. Gavin told Santa he wants Legos for Christmas and Maddox wanted a T-Rex 4-wheeler. Luckily Maddox has changed his mind since then. Now he just wants race cars. We're covered now!

This is Lexie...she is one of Santa's Elves...she's goes to the boy's school and they both really like her!

We were even able to buy Grandpa Dorn some Snowman Poop at the Santa's Sweet Shop...which he definitely deserves. I forget the saying that was on the package, but it had little marshmallows in it along with a little poem. Gavin knew Grandpa needed some Snowman Poop!

Ice Ice Baby!

On Tuesday, as soon as Gavin got home from school he headed outside to play on the ice. He brought out the Jeep...it has definitely seen better days! It's sad to see that Gavin's legs are just about to grow out of it these days. I'd hate to see how many miles that thing has gone...

Look what we got today...

A whole lot of SMILES! Today Larry and I visited Kelly and Mallory for a while. I was getting her dressed while Kelly was changing her shirt...it turns out that girls can pee on you too. Kelly had her wrapped in a towel after her bath and she managed to pee on her Mom. She's already making us proud! As I was getting her dressed I had Larry run and get the video camera. She still had more of those sweet little smiles to come. A camera just wasn't enough to capture this. She's already got us wrapped around her little finger! She is just a doll!

Santa's Workshop!

Gavin came home from school last Friday with the BIGGEST smile on his face as he placed 5 gifts under the tree. At school he was able to purchase small gifts for anyone he wished (with money we sent) When I told Larry I was sending money for this he rolled his eyes a little, but when he saw the smile on Gavin's face when he came home and was showing us how he had wrapped each gift and written on the tags and done this nice thing for his family it was obvious that it was all worth it.
So, if your name is Mom, Dad, Maddox, Blake, or Mallory....you have a special gift waiting for you this Christmas from Gavin, with love.

Happy Birthday Elaine and Rhett!

Today's a big day for birthday's on my calendar. I have 5 birthdays to celebrate today...only 2 of which are family.

I'll start with the "youngest"...42 yrs.

I may be in trouble for posting this photo, but I think it's worth it! (Elaine and my cousin Julie's 40th birthday party) Surely Elaine won't be too mad at me..it can't be any more embarrassing than having to take your little sister to a high school basketball game after she decided to cut her own bangs :)
Oh my...I have forgotten just how chubby Maddox was! He was 8 months old here.
Rhett's Birthday is today also! He's 9!
We hope that you have a great day!

Hey Becky, It's Your Birthday!

Birthday wishes going out to my sister-in-law today. Does that ring a bell? 2 years ago today we had our "girls" weekend away in Plainfield, IN. Remember Mom singing and dancing to Jordan's favorite birthday tune! This might help jog your memory, although I don't think you could forget it.
Hey Becky...it's your birthday! I can just see it now. Hope you had a good one!
These aren't birthday related at all, but they were in the file where I found this picture of Mom.

They finally meet...

We finally took Gavin to meet his little cousin last night. He always misses out on the fun stuff now that he's in school, it seems. I was anxious to see his reaction. He just seemed so grown-up when he was with her. His eyes lit up when he held her...he thought looking into her crib and seeing her was cool, but holding her was way cooler than that. He held her all on his own, and did a great job!
The first kiss...now this was a "give her a kiss so we can get a picture type of a kiss"....however, there were more of those kisses to come. You don't understand...this is a growing boy whose kisses are starting be a little harder to come by these days. He always has kisses for his Mom, but for Mallory to receive a kiss without being asked...I know he LOVES her!
Oh, and when he held her...his eyes just lit up. He had the biggest grin on his face.
Her blanket must've needed a little adjusting...

We had to check out her fingers, toes, and belly button too
So amazed...
Oh so gentle!
Hopefully Mallory enjoyed it as much as these two boys did.

Kelly's got a blog...

I just wanted you all to know that Kelly has a blog. She actually started it a while ago, but it seems that now she may have a lot more to blog about...Click below to see more pictures of...
Feel free to leave her a comment. I'm sure she'd appreciate comments from someone other than me!

Family Tradition

We finally took some time to put our Christmas Tree up tonight. The boys were so excited. Maddox was really into it, just as Gavin has been for a while now. We cranked up the Christmas tunes and had a good ole time .

The boys were even practicing their hurkies. Larry sat this one out though.

A Visit with Little Miss Mallory

Larry, Maddox, and I went to see Jeremy, Kelly, and Mallory yesterday. We were able to hold her a LOT! There's really nothing better than holding a new baby. Gavin was in school so he's looking forward to getting to meet her this weekend.

All 3 are doing exceptionally well! They are coming home this morning.

Scooby Dooby Doo

Tonight we picked Gavin up at my brother's house after visiting Kelly, Jeremy, and Mallory at the hospital. John was fixing Maddox a glass of juice in a Scooby Doo cup...Maddox sings this

"Scooby Dooby Doo, Where are you?
I need some help to do you!"

again...and again! I'm not sure where he's heard these lyrics...It sounds as though Larry and Maddox have been watching a different version of the Scooby Doo than I'm familiar with.

Perfect in Every Way!

Proud Aunt and Uncle too!

Of course I do, pictures just don't say it all...see for yourself!

It was an accident!

I would like for my family members who find it funny that Maddox says some not so appropriate words for a 3 yr. old to know that he "thinks" he has an excuse to say them after last weekend...

Here's what he said this morning while playing Play-Doh...

"My stupid ass worm keeps falling apart!" I hold up the vinegar and he says "Oops, it was an accident!" The sad thing is that the vinegar was already out on the cabinet from yesterday.
Yes, I'm waiting to hear that he says that while playing with the stupid ass Play-Doh at pre-school this week.
I guess I should look at the positive side...at least he knows how to use it, right!
