Gavin had his first game this morning. It wasn't overly exciting. Gavin played 3rd base and didn't have one ball come his way. He managed to keep himself busy because as soon as the ball was hit and he knew it wasn't coming his way he was practicing his sliding (which he needs a lesson on) skills and found that his glove holds quite a bit of that brick dust all at once too. All of these things are very useful skills for a t-ball player, especially Gavin.
Caught in the action... there's a story behind this one. Do you see this "cute" face Gavin is making. He started this in a smaller version a couple months ago. His lips were chapped and cracking a little so he would do this with his mouth to see if he needed chapstick or not. If you know Gavin at all he is a creature of habit, so he started doing this a LOT, ALL of the time to be exact. He did it at home, at school, at his spring concert last week. ALL of the time. It's not cute, really. He really looks like he has something wrong with him! We talked to him about a little, asking him why he does it...he didn't know. With him he always has some sort of habit and soon after he stops one another one will start in. Larry had a talk with Gavin about lockjaw and even went as far as to show him photos of people with lockjaw on the internet in hopes of convincing him to stop. He stopped...until today! He's at it again.
