Grandparents Day and a Frog in the Net!!

Last Thursday was Grandparents Day in Maddox's classroom. I stopped by the school to drop off some paperwork just as they were finishing up. Miss Jamee told me that Maddox's frog made it into the net about 20 minutes before the Grandparents arrived. They went to the restroom and she had told Maddox and Gage to go in and use the restroom without visiting or playing around...I can't remember her exact words. She went in to check on them and Maddox had crawled under his stall wall and into Gage's so that they could talk about their favorite line in the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. Miss Jamee told Maddox that his frog would have to go into the net since he had been warned.

Very sadly he said to her "Does Gage have to move his frog?"
Miss Jamee: "Did Gage climb under the stall?"
Maddox: "No"
Miss Jamee: "Did Gage bother you while you were going to the bathroom?"
Maddox: "No"
Maddox: "Are you mad at me, Miss Jamee?"
Miss Jamee: "No Maddox, I am not mad at you, I'm just not happy with your choice"
Maddox: "Ok"

When I took my paperwork into the office I stopped in and snapped these photos. I really don't think that he'll be getting his frog moved again soon. (Knock on wood)

Larry and Debbie and my Mom were able to come to Grandparents' Day. Maddox was happy!
Maddox giving hugs and kisses before Grandma and Grandpa Dorn took off. They were headed to Kentucky on a Harley ride. He DOES have the coolest Grandparents! I heard later that some of the other Grandparents were a little jealous of Maddox Dorn's Grandparents...they wanted that Harley! Maddox wanted to go with them, if only they had an extra seat.
Grandma Kocher stayed with Maddox for a few hours until I finished subbing at the Elementary School. They ate and played at Burger King. It was definitely a Grandparent Day. We're lucky to have Grandparents like these! Maddox missed his Grandpa Kocher, but knew that the levee needed to be fixed and (according to Maddox) Grandpa Kocher is the only one who knows how to do it. Gotta love 3 yr. olds.
