Just a Swingin'

Today the boys decided to spend quite some time on the swings. Maddox still loves to swing in the "baby swing". He looks so huge in it. I hope there's not a weight limit on those. I'm pretty positive he would exceed it. Anyway, he can swing in a regular swing, but he is not all dumb. He knows it's a lot more enjoyable to just have someone push you.

I was only going to take one picture, but then realized that with every photo the facial expression was never the same!

Workin' With Dad!

On Monday, we drove to Flora to have lunch with Larry. As we were driving into town we saw him working along the road, so the boys jumped out of the car to see what he was up to.

Now here's a guy who loves his job!
If only the kids could go to work with Daddy every day! He would get so much more accomplished!

20 down....20 to go!!!

Weeks, that is! Didn't you know that Larry is expecting??? Just kidding! We found out on Friday that Aunt Kelly is having a Baby Girl. She is 20 weeks along today...it's gone pretty fast so far (for us, that is). Now, considering we actually have 20 whole weeks it's probably going to creep by. We are excited beyond words! Now, if only December 15th could get here a little quicker this year, that would be great.

Last night we went to Kelly and Jeremy's for supper and we dropped off a few of our new baby girl purchases. When we were leaving I was going to get a picture of the boys with Kelly and her little "bump", but they weren't interested in a photo session at the moment. So, later on I made them take pictures with Larry's "bump" instead. Next time I bet they'll cooperate!

Actually Maddox isn't minding this at all...Gavin on the other hand saw no need to kiss Larry's belly.

Do you get the idea? If only the boys had cooperated...I'm thinking the belly shots might've been a little cuter.

On Saturday night we were invited to Mark and Michelle's for a going away party for Matt, who is headed to Arkansas this week. There was a lot of good food and 450 water balloons! We didn't use all of them, maybe 1/4!

Hunting Strays!

Friday morning we were playing outside and the boys saw a stray cat. It is the one that I saw a couple days ago hiding under the neighbors Little Tikes Slide. I thought maybe it escaped from the zoo. It was huge! The boys didn't want it pooping in their sandbox, so here they are chasing it away.

This was later on at Wal-Mart. Maddox went dressed as a Policeman and Gavin was a Firefighter. Why? I'm not sure... No special occasion. Maddox is eating popcorn chicken, just in case you're wandering what's in his mouth.

Thursday Night With The Mann's

This evening we had the Mann kids over to play. We try to swap kids at least once a week to have some time to accomplish something, run errands, or just have some peace and quiet. You see, Megan watched my kids Monday morning so I could have some free time to get some things done. I was supposed to have watched her kids Tuesday, but I was a little under the weather. So, we decided to have them come this evening. Payton even came along as well. I'm thinking she is one smart girl. If she would've stayed home my guess is that she might have been helping her mom clean. Plus, I think she likes us a little too.

I even snuck out to a jewelry party for a while...and I think that they all had lots of fun, Including Larry!

This is definitely a photo of Gavin... not sure what he's doing. However, my maternal instinct is telling me that Pepper is hiding in the day lilies and Gavin is using him as a target, what do you think?

A couple of weeks ago, I received a Blogger award from a long time friend of ours, Amber. I knew who Amber was growing up because we went to the same small elementary and jr. high. However, she is quite a bit younger than me....so, it wasn't until we detasseled together in high school that we met up and she quickly found out that my boyfriend, now husband, and the soon- to- be love of her life, were friends. And there the story begins...

Just Me and My Boys

This was a tough decision for me...but, I chose Aubrey's Blog due to the fact that she updates regularly, which is extremely difficult to do at times. And, of course, the fact that I find her updates to be "down to earth" or just exactly what's on her mind at the moment. And, it might have something to do with the fact that I have a soft spot for couples with boys. And, she's related to Larry...so that might be a tiny part of it too. Either way, check out her blog. It's definitely worthwhile! My personal favorite would have to be "Horrible Parents Are We" (I still laugh at that one!) Congrats to Aubrey and her boys!

When the Going Gets Tough...

Well, not sure why I'm sharing this with everyone...but it was a big deal this weekend. Maddox had not pooped for 3 days, and he had to go. He'd walk to the pot, sit down, and hop right back up. Anyway, he was afraid it was going to hurt. Something that's not uncommon when you hold it in for 3 whole days. Friday night I gave him a laxative in which the pharmacist said should work within an hour or two. No luck! I gave him more Sat. morning and later in the day. Still no luck! Don't get me wrong, he had to go! He must have cheeks of steel. I don't know. Then, Saturday evening we went to my parents' house for a get-together since my sister and her family were home. Not wanting to deal with this while we were there we decided to try a suppository otherwise known as "butt medicine". 3 hours later, Maddox was very proud of the job he had done. See for yourself. Everyone at my parents' house HAD to check it out!

Needless to say, he clogged the toilet. Here Maddox and Grandpa are giving us a thumbs up to let us know they have the problem under control.

This is Maddox wearing an OLD pair of his cousin Kurt's whitey tighty's...remember those Kurt! You see, Cindy and Ervan and Gavin and Maddox had a water balloon fight at their house and the boys were soaked, so Cindy pulled out some of Kurt's old underwear for the boys to wear. These are size 10 and he wears a 4. They worked...good thing Cindy keeps those on hand for instances like this. Thanks Kurt for sharing!

Wrestle Mania!

Last night, instead of reading stories before bed, the boys begged to wrestle instead. So, these are just a few shots that I got. We decided we better quit before someone ended up hurt. They've had bible school from 5:30 to 8:00 all week, so they really hadn't had much quality time with their Dad. I guess this is what they missed the most!

Gavin's Going into Business!

It's Official! Yesterday as Gavin pulled the vacuum out of the closet to vacuum for the 2nd day in a row I asked him if he'd like to start his own business. He said "Yeah, that'd be cool!" He said he'd do a whole house for $10 and then it would be as shiny as our house. (If any of you have seen our house you may find some humor in that one.) Please let Gavin know if you are interested. He's scheduling appointments immediately. We're still trying to think of a name for his company...we're always up for suggestions!

Another pet...

This is Maddox with his newfound lifeguard friend, Brooke. She was kind enough to GIVE Maddox this beta fish today (along with the bowl and food). She simply asked if he wanted a fish and you all know what he said. She did tell him to ask his Mom. I couldn't say no. What's to lose. We have one fish tank already and besides, it's Larry's job to clean it.

Gavin has swim lessons EVERY morning for an hour. So, Maddox uses his time wisely and talks to all the lifeguards. He usually has lots of questions for Jillian and Jenna. They keep him entertained...and he likes it!

Oh, and Brooke's name for the beta was Dolche'. So far it's still Dolche' even though Maddox has to ask me what his name is each and every time he talks about him, which is a lot!
